Due to a medical emergency (my husband was diagnosed with cancer and needed a stem cell transplant, so couldn't travel), we needed to cancel the round trip flight to HI that was scheduled for the next month. Orbitz said we could cancel our round trip flight to Hawaii, and we would have until the end of Aug. To book a new flight using the credit from the cancelled flight. I believed them, BUT Of course, like everyone else on this web site is saying, Orbitz is dishonest, they waste your time by putting you on hold for ever, and they blame the airline co. Not themselves for failing to honor their word. I called on Aug. 31st when we got the O.K. From the oncologist for my husband to travel, and Orbitiz said, after many, many, calls, to orbitz "you had to call by Aug. 30th, not the 31st. Too Late" So I was out the credit of $796.40/ticket. NEVER USE ORBITZ, buy your tickets directly from the airlines, the AIRLINE WILL WORK WITH YOU IF YOU BUY THE TICKETS directly FROM THEM, NO ONE WORKS FOR YOU IF YOU BUY THEM FROM ORBITZ!

"I understand you want to book a new flight using the credit from a cancelled trip.
However, we are not in the position to extend the validity of the credit"
