I will never use Orbitz again and will make sure anyone I know or those who ask will never go through them either. #1. Could have received a better deal going directly through the airline/hotel... Price Assurance is BS! #2. I booked everything WELL in advance of my trip (2 mths in advance) and within 2 weeks of booking, my husband couldn't go due to his disabilities. No refund, no cancellation... Ate the whole amount $430 even though i took out the insurance, as it was considered a pre-existing condition. Orbitz response was a $125 cancellation fee; another amount for some other fee and we (could only be used by my husband) would get $62 and some change credit for another flight within a 6 week period. My husband CAN'T fly anywhere, any more! We had someone who could have taken his place however the same fees would have been charged in order to CHANGE THE TRAVELLER'S NAME!!! Plus they would have cancelled the entire pkg (MORE FEES) and we would have to rebook everything. NEVER, NEVER, NEVER AGAIN will I be using Orbitz. Add to all the above, customer service was rude, nasty and indifferent. Now on to Spirit and my opinion of them!
