We thought we were calling the Days Inn from the car on a trip to Pennsylvania from Georgia. Their URL in the search results was masked as if they were Days Inn. We booked the room with them without issue and paid them on the phone. When we got to the motel, they did not have our reservation. Our 5 minute check in took 45 minutes, after 10 hours in the car with 2 over tired kids, MISERABLE, and the hotel was still not able to verify the reservation. Could not get roomstays on the phone. If you want to book a room, they answer right away in America. If you have an issue, you go to a call center in India and get to stay on hold for a while. They gave us the room and said if they did not have it by morning, they would have to charge us for the room. Guess what? In the morning, the motel still did not have the reservation so we had to pay the motel... Also. I called RoomStays.com the next day, they said they would call the motel and straighten it out and call me back within 48 hours. They never called back.
We received our credit card statement the other day and there is a full room charge from roomstays.com and Days Inn. I called Roomstays again and asked them to remove the charges. They again said, we will call the motel and if you paid them, we will remove the charges and call you back within 24 hours. They never called back... Again... And did not remove the charges. We had to call our credit card company and we are now disputing the charges.
TERRIBLE experience, ZERO customer support (was lied to twice), SHADY business tactics. Check the BBB, there are a lot of complaints against this company. I'd give them 0 stars if I could. The room was the same rate as the motel had and I have had to spend more than 3 hours dealing with this now.
