I accidentally went on RoomStays.com website to book a hotel. I'm Canadian, have a Canadian email, was in Canada and booked a Canadian hotel. However, I was charged in USD and so my credit card charged foreign exchange. When I cancelled, within hours, I was again charged credit card foreign exchange for foreign currency! However, the website did not say it was using USD for charging. I am on the phone now trying to get my foreign exchange refunded. Also, there is an immediate $10 charge on every booking that is cancelled. I went on the hotel's website, Fairmont, and booked and can cancel up until the day I arrive. Compared to Expedia, RoomStays.com is terrible - I will never use it again! My phone call was unsatisfactory. Whereas Expedia tells me the currency it is using, RoomStays.com does not! WARNING - do no use RoomStays.com!!
