I have inside information that the technicians are told by the owner that the more parts the repairman install in the naive customers broken copier, printer or fax machine the more commision they will make on parts. The owner also have contests for the techs, hear is just one example. The tech will have a quota of 10 rollers. The roller cost 10 dollars the cost to customer 110.00. If the tech can intall 10 rollers in a week whether the machine needed it or not he will get a 200 dollar (met quota) bonus. This is a rip off business that prays on the unknowing customer that hears hears the parts needed to fix the problem (s). The insider that worked there quit because of the unethical work culture. I am not sure if this is illegal. If it isn't it should be. This causes an incentive to put in parts not needed for commision.
No legit repair company would be run this way.
