I own a Polaroid flat panel TV that died on me so I contacted Polaroid to find out what the problem was and after some trouble shooting with the company, I was told by Polaroid that it would cost $241.87 to purchase the parts and upon purchasing the parts, they would send out a tech to install them on my TV... Well, after waiting almost 3 months to get the parts, they sent a tech out to do the install but the TV still did not work and Polaroid refused to give me a full refund on my parts cause they said they needed to pay the tech for coming out to my home which was by their request cause they told me what parts I needed in order to fix my TV and they were wrong cause the parts they sent to me did not work... It seemed that Polaroid just didn't realize what took place because I couldn’t imagine that such a large company would do such a thing but I unfortunately received an e-mail from a Dan Anderson Director of Service Quality & Logistics in their Customer Relations department at "[email protected]" that said "I apologize that you are still having an issue with your TV. We are only able to do a minimal amount of troubleshooting over the phone." (which they should not have mislead me into believing they knew what they were talking about and even suggested the parts to purchase to get my TV running again) they went on to say "The part that you were sent may or may not have fixed the TV based on the little information we had on that phone call." (lol. Again if they could not identify the problem with such a limited amount of information they should have asked for more or said they did not know based on what info I was providing instead of requesting I pay for parts that I did not need) Polaroid said “The technician being onsite was able to do some hands on troubleshooting with your unit and found the issue to be the LCD panel." (I never requested a tech to come out to diagnose my problem, Polaroid was already aware of the parts I needed based on the trouble shooting they done with me on the phone, that’s why they mailed specific parts out to me. The tech was only there to install them. Either way, I was not paying for a tech to diagnose or install for that matter, I was paying for parts only although once the parts I purchased did not work, Polaroid tells me they are going to apply the money I paid them for the parts to pay for the tech they sent out...) no problem, but usually when I’m going to pay for a service I call around to get the best pricing and for this service call that I did not request, I’m getting told what price I have to pay…

Bottom line is “I’m not happy, I don’t like Polaroid and I will NEVER purchase anything from them and will advise all my friends and family to do the same.” Polaroid has poor customer service along with unknowledgeable technical troubleshooters that will not take responsibility for their actions. Their actions with me were fraudulent and misleading.
