I have been with Verizon Wireless for 2 years, I am moving to Evanston Il, I was looking for a house and experienced at least 30 missed calls, it makes it hard to work with a real estate agent if you can't get the calls. I also have seizures and need a phone that gets service in the area that I am in case of an emergency. I have documented with witnesses 15 streets that had 1 bar or no service.
The Evanston store told me and their own customer service dept that the service was not good in Evanston. They extended my contract with out notice. I requested a copy of my origional contract and they said they can not give it to me, that is illegal. They said that it was not their responsibility to give me a copy of my contract. I asked if they could have someone go with me to where I can not get service, in my own home as well as 1 block from the store in Evanston so that they can see that I am legit. They said they could not do that. I even accepted a replacement phone so that I could see if it was only the equiptment, the same thing happened.
They have called me a liar several times, left me on hold for over 30 min. I have sent letters, left messages and e-mails and i have had no response in 2 weeks. They are putting my life in danger if I have a seizure and I can not call for help because of the lack of service. I have notified a lawyer, the secretary of state in both ohio and illinois as well as the attorney general in both states. I have also sent letters and proof of the lack of service, response, and illegal activity to the president of the united states as well as the attorney general.
