My mother purchased a 1999 RAV4 from Evanston Toyota. Over the last five years, she has always used this dealerhip's service department for all of the car's scheduled tune-ups.in May of the car broke down and she took it to a private mechanic. She then learned that the car had NEVER been tuned up. Evanston Toyota never even changed the oil.
I heard from another Evanston woman that she also was scammed by Evanston Toyota. Apparently, during a three year period, Evanston Toyota conned her into getting her timing belt fixed twice. She later learned the original timing belt was never replaced.
