On page one of the Verizon Wireless contract they have you sign for their services. It states that a early termination fee of $175. Oo will be charged. However, no where on the first page does it state that if you have a second or third phone on your contract it will cost $175.00 per phone or number.
It's not until you get to page five that it states "If you end your service sooner, or we terminate your service for good cause, you must pay up to $175.00 per wireless phone number as an early temination fee.
If the service representitive doesn't inform you prior to signing and faxing that first page back to them, you will be liable for the extra $175.00 fee.
This should be illegal and certainly a way to ripoff people. They know that most people wouldn't read 10 pages of agreement they haven't the time.
Most people only want to know how much per month is the service costing me.
Verizon Wireless must be made to put in bold letters in clear language the total cost per phone or numbers on the first page and not on the fifth page.
My other complaint on this subject is if a man or woman is married the spouse should have to sign the contract too! If we are to be held liable we should have the right to refuse or to except the contract.
