I ordered three items from Toys R Us online. I originally planned on ordering one item, which was in stock, but added two additional items to secure free shipping. I then received an email saying that the second two items were being processed, but there was an "unexpected delay" with shipping the original item, which was on backorder. The email did not give a timeline. I called Customer Service adn spoke to three different people, who all told me that they couldn't tell me when the item was expected. The last person told me that I would "probably" get it by Christmas. When I asked to change my order to store pickup (at a distant store), I was told that I would have to cancel the original order. I was also told that I could not cancel the order for the additional two items, which had not yet been prepared for shipping, because it was being processed. I would not have purchased any of the items had I been told up front that anything was out of stock. I would, instead, have travelled slightly further to a store where the items were in stock.
