I signed up for the "free" credit report with a 30 day free trial. I cancelled within the 30 days of signing up. I did get my credit report finding addresses on there I had never even been.
My family and I went to St. Louis over the weekend and needed a motel room. I tried to pay with my credit card and it was denied, not knowing why. Luckily, my wife had some cash put back in her wallet that was to go toward some bills that were coming up since we couldn't use out of town check to cover the room.
I just received a credit card statement today saying that CIC Credit Monitoring took $79.95 off of my credit card on June 5th, about 2 months after cancelling my membership.
Mark of Huntington Beach, Ca, you need to get real, get in touch, and get a clue. You're telling these people it is their own fault that this company is ripping people off. Explain the situation of cancelling and getting charged for it months later. Is that our fault too??? Obviously you weren't reading the complaints. These people have tried to call and resolve the problem, and nothing was done about it. Some have even billed for a 2nd time a year later.in my opinion, you're just as bad as this rip-off company.
