We were thnking about changing our communications over to a company (Charter) that could cover cable, internet and phones for our entire business. We called Directv the last week of October and asked if there would be a cancellation fee and were told that there would be no cancellation fee because we had been using Directv's services since 2001. We decided to go ahead and contract with a company to cover ALL our communication needs and had the service installed last week. When we called Directv to cancel the service yesterday, we were informed that we would be billed $380.00 (!) for cancellation. We did not sign any contract agreeing to this fee and were told not two weeks before this that there was no fee for cancelling service. What a ripoff! Do not get satellite TV from these people!
