Cancellation charge

I recently changed cable and internet services to another provider. The main reason was that I needed faster internet service, and on top of that, my monthly charge went from $46 to $90. When I called to cancel my service, no one explained to me that I would be charged $180 cancellation fee. So when I called today to inquire about the charge, this is what they told me... Please pay attention people! When you sign up its a two contract and they give you lots of great rebates BUT only for one year, then your monthly charge almost doubles, yet it is a TWO tear contract, bummer. Therefore, you are pretty much stuck with them for another year. I just wish the rep would have told me about the cancellation fee... He was so determined to keep my business yet he did not mention the $180 charge, HELLO! That would have been the selling point for me! However, I now have to pay it. This is really bad business!!! I will never use DIRECTV nor recommend it to anyone!
