Well, we first called Quality Movers and they sent this other company from Arizona called Nationwide & Global Van Lines to pick up our furniture. We we VERY sceptical when 2 guys showed up in a LEASED RYDER TRUCK. Then they took 12 hours to load our furniture just to tell us that it would not all fit and they had to go get another truck and the cost would be double.
We had heard about these scams before, so we asked them to kindly unload our belongings from the truck and we will find someone who is professional and knows what they are doing. Well, the placed a lock on the truck, pulled it out of our driveway onto the street and demanded $1200 CASH to unload.
We called the police and they said that they see this all the time, and that those guys must have planned it, because they know exactly how to keep our furniture. You see, they knew to pull the truck onto the street, as it then becomes a civil matter. So, the police suggested that we get the $1200 CASH somehow and quick, as we would probably NEVER see our belongings again.
So, we drove 90 miles to get the $, came back and as they pulled back into our driveway to unload, they smashed all the concrete on our driveway and left a HUGE oil stain right in the middle.
We are mad!!
