Moving arragements were made through Genesis Van Lines for an all inclusive move with very specific times and dates.
The movers had not shown by the time frame, so I called and was told they would be another hour late. Four hours later they arrived. They were slow and asked for extra money from my family. My family was required to help load the truck. Due to their lateness, I had to leave to return home. My family stayed to supervise the loading.
No communication was received from the movers after my phone calls. A completely different company called Avalon Van Lines arrived a day late and asked for extra money. They threatened to leave with my belongings if I would not pay extra. They finally accepted payment (though not the personal check I was originally assured they would accept).
They did not have a completed inventory list and would not permit me to check off each item. They refused to unload the truck until I had signed all the papers accpeting my goods in proper condition. At each insistence they threatened to leave.
They refused to bring my belongings into my house. They unloaded onto the unpaved gravel road and onto my concrete driveway. They unwrapped some of the furniture (not all was wrapped in blankets) on my driveway and laid many things down unprotected and leaned against the house or garage. The movers were rude and verbally abusive.
Neither moving company assisted me following the delivery of my goods. Each blamed the other for accountability No one would assist me in filing for damages to my piano and dining room table. After a few weeks, I gave up as no one returned phone calls or letters.
