Jeff Vaillencourt, DBA, Amity Services, was hired to wire a pool connection. We agreed on a total price of $225. I had helped this man actually do the job. I had to call him several times because it was not hooked up properly. After the job was complete, I was sent a bill of $645. After calling him and speaking to him, I was told that his wife was doing the billing, to disregard the bill and send the agreed upon price.
After 2 weeks, Jeff caled and said he had not recieved payment. I cancelled the check, and re-sent payment. I recieved a letter from an attorney 2, yes just 2 days later advising me that Jeff retained his office to collect the $645. I sent payment, of course they got THIS check, but I am out $30 dollars for cancelled check fees as well as an extra $420. Amity Services shoud not be trusted with their word at all. Jeff is not a professional and was totally unreliable.
