Express Personnel Services Prejudice

I filled out the online application and stopped by this office to set-up an appointment. There was a female receptionist and another person in the office who was male. They were both very friendly. The receptionist advised I could use their computers to send my resume directly to their office. She set up a 1pm interview for me on the following day. When I visited the office this time, there was a different receptionist and a female recruiter by the name of Courtney.initially the recruiter seemed nice. I filled out the I-9 form with all of my information such as social secuirty number etc and made small talk with the receptionist. After entering my information in her computer, the receptionist snickered then went into Courtney's office to snicker some more and pass off my information. I thought initially that maybe she had pulled my credit report, however she informed it was for the background check. The receptionist then made a joke with the recruiter in regards to my name and told Courtney "good luck figuring out which one it is". Courtney's attitude changed drastically when she called me in her office about 1:30. I had not sat down before she said "I do not want to waste your time". Needless to say I was shocked because she did not even introduce herself before her negative vibe took over. I had to ask her for her name. I explained I was looking for a temporary job until the permanent job I had interviewed for made an offer. She advised most companies want you to to come in as an entry level employee and work your way up and become permanent. I asked if Express offered temp assignments and she rudley stated "But most people think that's all we are! Some place to get a filler job!" I was so outdone. My resume speaks for itself so it was definately not my job history. Courtney asked how much I was looking for in pay and I advised. She then stated, "Well rarely see that much". I told her I would be willing to take less for a temporary position and she asked if it were $1 dollar less are you telling me not to call you? I said "Yes please!" and she replied "yes what? Call you?". I was so upset when I left that prejudice office that I wanted to take back all of my paperwork that I had just filled out. If they are basing their interviewees on something credit based they should say so. To waste my time and then be rude was enough to make me call their corporate office. I will be reporting the treatment I received. The receptionist had in plain sight I-9 forms with social security numbers in sight for anyone who was in front of her desk. The receptionist did not even say good bye, so I politely took a business card and asked where the corporate office was located, she replied on Rockwell. I have never been treated with such disrespect. Stay away from this office. It is obvious Courtney had made her mind up about me before I even sat down. How people like this get in positions where they are dealing with people is beyond me. I got my job offer and will spread the word about Express Employment Services. Peace.
