Suddenlink Deceptive Billing Practices

My son went to buy a car and found a negative reporting from Suddenlink Communications. We contacted them, and they told us it would be resolved when we brought proof that the account did not belong to him. The account was clearly in someone else's name. When my son went to obtain service, they transferred the past due balance from someone else to my son. They said that when he requested new service that he agreed to pay the prior customer's bill. This is false. They never even told my son someone else had a past due bill. They couldn't start service under my son's name because the line that ran from the cable box to the house was bad. NO SERVICE WAS EVER STARTED IN MY SON'S NAME EVER!!! But, they said because he applied for service he is still liable for the other person's bill. Attorney General says we have to allow 30 days for Suddenlink to correct the error. Suddenlink refuses to correct it, and my son will lose his earnest money on a house he is buying, all because Suddenlink falsely reported and thought they would use a MAJOR POWER TRIP against my 19 year old son to try to bully him into paying someone else's bill. We had service with Suddenlink in our home for ten years, a separate address from the one they are reporting with my son. We disconnected all services with Suddenlink and suggest anyone else do the same. If you are reading this report, you are probably in the same boat. LIKE, Comment, then take action! Don't let the cable company bully you just because THEY CAN!
