I've had a series of misfortunes and am now on SSDI. I had to cancel my service w/Dishnetwork. They want me to mail the receiver back at a cost of $15.00 to me. I asked them to have an installer pick it up when they are in my area, since an installer brought it when I had my service installed. They said that's not the way they do things. I have gone around and around w/them and told them $15.00 is a lot of money to me, please pick it up. They refuse. Now I've been turned over to collections. Today 6/15, I spoke to a supervisor named Walter. I once again explained the situation and my hardship.instead of helping me, he in essence said I could either pay the $15.00 to send it back or the $370.00 to the collection company. Dishnetwork has no compassion for their customers. I was a customer for over 5 years and they refuse to work w/me and have one of their installers pick up the receiver while in my area. Not to mention, they outsource jobs so they aren't helping the U.S. Economy and I'm sure that's where most of their money comes from.
