So i finally got tired of boost mobiles hiccups with not getting all of my messages, and the addition of a "new tax" allegedly imposed by Georgia. I decide to switch phone providers for both my wife and I. I go to the metro pcs store and get us a new phone and the clerk tells me that i need the account numbers to transfer our old numbers.
So OK i call boost customer care and after the runaround of their automated menus i get an operator. I then get transferred to someone else that helps me get my account numbers and OK, i give my information to the clerk at the metro pcs store and i am told that it will not port my number. I ask why and she tells me she does not know it will not tell her, that it must be something with boost.
Ok so the next day i call boost and again it is a fight just to get someone on the phone but i finally get someone and tell them what is going on only to be told that there is no problem, it should work! Ok so i go back to the metro pcs store and the same thing. I am told that sprint must be holding the number.
Well four days have passed and again a call, and and an email have been placed. Well later yesterday i get an email from boost saying that they tried to contact me but none of the three phone numbers i gave them rang, and i replied that I have not heard a phone ring so no they have not tried to contact me yet. Well a few hours pass and i finally get a call from a CSR and yet again they tell me there are no hang up on the number being ported to metro pcs, and metro pcs tells me they cannot port the number sprint won't let them.
Well today a csr at metro pcs calls their tech people and they say that they have no idea why but it won't let them port the number and they have never had this problem before, so she calls boost mobile and again no one at boost knows what is going on and i cannot get any further with this issue and told by metro pcs that i am just going to have to deal with it boost will not give the number up.
