After learning about Boost Mobile's unlimited talk, text and wireless web for $55 I jumped on a deal that sounded great.
I attempted to have my number ported over and after two days I still had no service. I called Boost's "Customer service" (or lack there of) and waited on hold for 45 Mins. Just to be disconnected on as soon as the agent answered. I called again waiting another 50 mins on hold before I could speak to a human. He told me that the "Port" process may take up to 7 days, (This they had not told me before). I asked her what would happen if I canceled the port, and she said I would be able to have a working phone within 2 hours.
So I canceled the port and to my surprise no working phone after 2 hours, so I waited nothing after 4 hrs, nothing after 6 hrs. I again called Boost waiting another 45 mins on hold. The agent told me that Sprint, the company whose network Boost uses would have to release my ESN. I hung up with Boost and Called Sprint. After being on the phone with sprint for over an hour the agent told me that she could do nothing.
I called my original phone company to see if they could release my ESN, to my amaze the original phone company I was with told me they had never received a port request.
So to make a long story short,
My phone number is an active number on 2 networks, but neither phone works! I got frustrated and began searching for Boost's corporate number; its not fair that me, a paying customer has to do all the work. I am paying for services to be rendered and they have rendered only headaches. All in all I have spent in excess of 12 hours on the phone in the past 7 days dealing with all of this.
I would strongly advise calling their corporate telephone number and asking to speak to the (executive escalations dept.) they have the power to do it all. I hope that this helps you receive resolution.
Good Luck!
