Don't ever go with DirecTV. They will rip you off at any cost. My father had been with them for years, then all of a sudden they started triple charging him for his current package, plus movie channel packages he never signed up for. He called to get it straightened out, they said they fixed it, then next month, the bill was even higher. He called again, and after 2 hours, they still couldn't figure out what they did, so he asked them to cancel, and call him back, once they figured it out, so he could pay the final bill. A few days later, they took $440.00 out of his account! He only had an $84.00 package! They even charged for the equipment that they had not even sent the return packaging for! (they never refund for the return of equipment anyway). His bank said they could do nothing because it is in their contract that they can do this to anyone at anytime! When my father called DirecTV about it, they said they would put the money back if he signed back up with them. HUH!!?? Isn't that called extortion/blackmail? Never get DirecTV, and if you already have them, don't cancel until you have changed your debit/credit card/bank account info that they currently have, or they will do the same thing to you, and you will be left with an empty bank account.
