I turned to Caree Annette Harper for legal help for my disabled son, which meant the difference of him getting the help he needed or the difference of being victimized further on an false accusation of $150. Attorney Harper then tells me that my son did not need that help that he accepted prison, which is preposterous, and then kept my borrowed money of $2,500. To justify for robbing me, she sent me some forms for custody of my 46 year old son, for the wrong court, and with the wrong address and even included my email address. She then tells me, "our business is concluded, " which shocked the heck out of me, and adds further that "I will be tied up in other matters for a while." She also tells me that I need to pay $355 for filing fees. First of all, to apply for a custdy case in CA, a person needs to be in a hospital, and the person needs to be represented by an attorney, and I did not ask her to fill out the forms. To justify her excuse for robbing me, she even accused me of in her words, "you have gone through multiple lawyers tells me that you use lawyers to get free work and then threaten to complain." In fact, she was the only attorney I hired. Two attorneys called me later to help me with the case, but erroneously I told them I already had an attorney, the only one I try to hire. I actually sent her a letter removing her from the services because it was obvious she was keeping my money she took electronically, without providing any of the services I had paid her to do. I did not even meet her in person. Because in Orange County more money was required I hired her because she said she gives senior citizens and disabled clients a discount. How could I think that what she meant was that she was into stealing from such defenseless clients.
She did not even file a form for replacing my son's other attorney, and never even communicated with my son, who was victimized without due process. I was told he was going to have a court date in Orange County instead he was taken to Riverside County, without due process. But attorney Harper was so useless that all she did was send me some filled out forms that I did not request and I could filled out more accurately and to the proper court, to justify her charging me the $2,500. I am in school right now, and had been studying extensively, which delayed me with this report, and will graduate in May. Because attorney Harper robbed me of my money, I will not be able to attend the graduation, which is in another state. And when my son was released last week, he was more confused then when he was picked up; therefore, I lost him permanently, because he went on the streets and would not cooperate to get the right help and therapy. Thus, attorney Harper robbed me of more than the $2,500, she robbed me of my graduation ceremony, which had taken me 40 years to get to, and of my son and of my son's life. My son told me that he was intimidated to accept prison or he would have had to make additional time, rather than five months. My son has never been, and is less not able to now more than ever defend himself. Attorney Harper was my last hope. All I will have now is student loan payments of money attorney Harper robbed me of.
