For the last 5 years or more, I thought my security system was operated my Leasecomm. On September 3, the alarm system went off in my home. I called the number listed on the monthly bill for equipment problems and was informed that the contact people were only acting as billing agents.
I found the instructional guide given when the system was installed, and there was the telephone number of the local company that installed the system, the telephone was disconnected. After several more calls to Leasecomm customer service, I was told here's a number for somebody we have there in Maryland. I was told by the company in Maryland that they did not come to Baltimore City, so there was nothing they could do.
I find it reprehensible that for over 5 years, I have paid for services of an unknown entity. When I made a payment late, Leasecomm notified me a payment was due. When the local equipment supplier and/or installer went out of business they should have notified me of this also.
