There are moments in life when you learn great lessons. The one I learned with USA Relocation is that if it looks too good to be true, it probably is. Word of wisdom: choosing the lowest bidder is definitely not always the best idea... And choosing your mover on the Internet is probably even stupider.
Many victims say they learned that lesson after they were ripped off by Bernie Madoff. If it looks too good to be true, it probably is...
Am I comparing Bobby Ferrari (owner of USA Relocation) to Bernie Madoff? Come on, let's not go overboard. That certainly wouldn't be fair to Bernie Madoff. After all, I heard that Bernie was actually nice to his clients as he was screwing them over.
What did Bobby Ferrari do to me? Now that I'm reading all these other reports, it seems like it was all part of their business best practices: wanting to change my move date on the eve of the move (and actually showing up to my house on the wrong date), hiring local goons who don't know the first thing about moving furniture to break my stuff, using a truck that's way too small, leaving behind a quarter of my furniture and forcing me to hire other movers to finish the job, giving me an obviously fraudulently bogus weight to overcharge me by about $1000.
And that's not all, because on top of all of that you still have to deal with Bobby Ferrari. I'm not one who takes being abused over the phone too well. What are you supposed to do though when you're dealing with someone who holds you by the b...? There's no doubt in my mind that Bobby Ferrari is the most dangerous sociopath that I've ever had to deal with.
I have learned my lesson. I hope that all of you who are reading this report as you're doing your due diligence on USA Relocation (your lowest bidder) will take my word for it: go with a reputable national company such as United or Atlas Van Lines. Get your mover to come to your house and give you an estimate. If you sense any red flag, turn around and run. Don't wait to learn this painful lesson by yourself.
