On June 15 I hired Top Relocation to co-ordinate my move from Denver, CO to Asheville, NC. I paid them $942.13 for their services. We agreed the total cost of the move would be $2,554.31 for approximately 3,000 pounds. I understood, and agreed, I would pay more for the move if my furniture weighed more than 3,000 pounds. We also agreed pick-up would be the 29th or 30th of June and delivery would be the 6th or 7th of July.
About a week before my move Top Relocation services did not have a mover. I talked to Dave a/k/a Gabe and Kay at Top Relocation and repeatedly they told me "not to worry". Dave tried to send a mover two days before my closing by lying to that mover. I told Dave I would not accept pick up before closing and that my buyer did not have loan approval to buy my home. The lie caused this mover a lot of financial damage.
The day of closing, June 29th, Top Relocation still had no mover. I had to be out of my home, per my real estate sales contract, on July 1st at 8am. After a lot of phone calls they finally contracted with a local mover to move my furniture out of my home and put it into storage.
The told me they would have my furniture and belongings to me by the 7th of July. The 7th has come and gone and my furniture is still in Denver. They will not tell me when it's going to be moved and now they brush me off and tell me "they're busy" or "they will get back to me". They never call back.
I believe my furniture is never going to be delivered and Top Relocation has allowed the local mover to steal all my furniture and belongings. Top Relocation has not paid the local mover and on August 7th the local mover is going to auction off all my property. I called the local law enforcement and apparently there is nothing they can do to stop the auction.
In the meantime I'm trying to run my business by sitting on the floor all day in front of my computer. I never knew how much it hurts to try and work while sitting on the floor!!! My knees and back hurt all the time now.
Part of my inventory is in Denver and I can't ship it to customers who are expecting merchandise they have paid for. I will have to start issuing refunds soon and the ill will against my company is growing
I feel Top Relocation is dangerous to the community and should be immediately prevented from doing business with the consumer.
