After 3 days of constantly changing dates & scheduled times - the movers showed up day late to move my elderly mother from ohio to florida. The driver had no paperwork and drove a beat-up 26 ft Penske rental truck that had been badly painted over in white. Even though I had scheduled the move on Nov 10th for Dec 6th - the driver claimed he had just learned of the move 2 hrs before he showed up. I then found out Evergreen Vanlines had contracted the job out to a Bobby Ferrari (he told me his name was Jones on the phone) out of Orlando. Bobby claimed his drivers were coming from Chicago when the driver told me no - he had only been 90 minutes away. The driver & a helped loaded the truck with my mothers belongings on Sunday Dec 7th and promised an early morning delivery. The moving truck didn't show up at my home until 7:30pm Monday night and then I was told that the move was going to be more than contracted. The owner George had promised me $150 discount for my troubles - I told the driver to call him to confirm. The driver then walked out and jumped in the truck and took off with my stuff. An hour later, Bobby F. Called me saying he wanted $1000 by midnite either by credit card or wire transfer or he was going to sell all my mom's belongings. We called the police but we don't think we're ever going to get our stuff back.
