I can't believe that other people apparently had the same problems I did with Nationwide Relocation and Damron's Moving Companies. I only had a few days to coordinate my move and I contacted Nationwide Relocation and spoke with Regis. We went through all of the items in the house and he estimated the cost of my move. Then he told me Danny would be calling me to figure out if the estimated weight was correct and go over the times again. They called me so many times and when I called them to express concern over the deposit I got no return call. Regis and Danny act like sneaky underhanded business men.
I think they took advantage of my situation and they were trying to scare me into adding more weight onto my estimate just to be sure I didn't pay through the nose when the job was done. They said that if my weight was over the estimate that the mover would charge me hundreds of dollars, when in reality it would have been about $60. They ended up doubling my deposit for no real reason and even if i was a pound overweight they would have kept the entire deposit. They are sneaky people. I was furious with them, but I am one of the lucky ones I got my larger deposit back because I yelled and screamed and refused to pay because they lied! If I had had more time before my move I would have researched them. I am moving again and was about to call Damron's Movers, but I thought let me "google" them first and I can't believe the amount of complaints about them and Nationwide Relocation. I am appalled that Nationwide is able to still be in business. I wish I would have complained with the BBB 10 months ago. After reading all of the complaints regarding Damron's I am hoping that all of my things are unbroken in my storage unit.
My advice... Do not ever use nationwide relocation services because they are dishonest and horrible business people.
