Qwest DSL - Deceptive Billing Practices - Failed to Cancel DSL with 4 attempts

I made a request with Qwest Communications to both consolidate my bills, and add their DSL service to one of my lines. Unfortunately, they consolidated my bills, but added DSL to at least 2 of my lines. It is not clear from the bill that they added DSL to 2 lines, and I would not have an interest in adding DSL to 2 lines mostly due to the fact that I have only 1 computer.

Even if I had more than 1 computer, I could have used an additional jack to access DSL from that same line.in May of I called to cancel DSL and my additional line. The first call to cancel DSL was unsuccessful, and the request to cancel my additional line was also unsuccessful. I realized this when I received my next bill.

My wife called the next time, and she was also unsuccessful in canceling the DSL and the second line. Since May of this year, I only wanted one line, and they continued to bill me as if I never called. Now they have sent me a final bill, for August, and the bill is confusing and has a balance forward on it, which it should not have.

I learned at that time that they were still billing me for DSL. I also learned from the Qwest representative that the only group authorized to make changes was the DSL department. I had never been transferred to the DSL department, and still the representative I spoke with assured me that the service had been disconnected.

I called again today to cancel DSL, and it is still there.

1. Qwest added an extra service for DSL and hid these charges in one consolidated bill and did not break these apart by line item so that I could see what was happening and stop it.

2. Qwest did not cancel my services when I requested it May and Qwest sent bills that were confusing and had balance forward amounts that were not clear in how they originated.
Multiple attempts to cancel services were unsuccessful with different representatives. Could they all be that incompetant?
