I have had the Vonage service for apporximately 3 months. Suddenly the adapto/box started knocking my internet offline. It would block me form using my computer. I would have to spend 1-2 hours resetting my internet and the Vonage services simultaneously. After the fifth time, I discinnected the vonage, emailed their Tech Support and requested help with my faulty box.
The service kept going out, YET no one ever responded to my email about this rpoblem with their box. I eventually had to find another service as I have little ones in the house and cannot afford to keep delaing with a faulty box.
The payment became due and they could not debit my account. I called to request to have the service disconnected. I was informed that since I was outside of the 30 day trial period, I would be charged $92.98 for early termination which included this sorry adaptor that no one ever tried to resolve. I was told that even if I returned it, I would still be charged for the box. Catch that crap - if you will? You would think that if the box was so valuable they would want it back. I guess that says alot about this portion of the service!
I asked for a Supevisor and was told that I had to WRITE to the Corporate Office in Humdel, New Jersy and dispute the charge. It appears that this is how Vonage makes it's money.By ripping off the consumer and not resolving obvious issues that they are well aware of. I am going to find a governing authority and report them. Hopefully, they will be stopped and we can get our early termination fees refunded.
