I subscribed to Vonage after leaving MCI. The first day I should have receive service I did not have any telephone or interne service when I returned home from work. I called Verizon DSL, my internet provider. They informed me that I needed to restore my Verion phone service in order to continue my internet service. They instructed me to call Vonage and cancel my service and let them know that you want to keep you number. Vonage told me that I could not have my number back but that they would cancel my service. I restored my phone and internet service with Verizon, who also tried to buy my phone number from Vonage unsuccessfully.
Months later, I review my checking account and Vonage is still deducting fees from my account. I call Vonage and demand that this be stopped and that they return my money. Vonage representative give me a confirmation number and assures me that this will be rectified. Next, I get a collection notice.
Vonage is a terrible company and I guess I should have known when they don't have a physical company location, just web based, which seems to have bad customer service and honesty track records.
