My small business was charged by USBI/NLDS on our Qwest bill and switched to their company without our permission or authorization. These charges also include a "switching fee". Immediately called Qwest. They said would also need to call them next month as charges will appear on that bill too. So we have to deal with it again next month. They are Crooks and Scammers. We are on the "do not call list" on all our phone lines and we Never do anything over the phone. How can a company be allowed by Qwest to do this? There should be safeguards such as a letter from the company we are with should be sent out indicating there was a change made and did we authorize it. There are several charges on our bill including: A USBI monthly charge, a switching fee, a NLDS charge, a carrier cost recovery fee, etc.
How do we protect our company from someone putting something on a bill that was not authorized? More safeguards for consumers should be added.
