I cancelled my annual subscription with Sirius in March. The individual that accepted the cancellation offered a no-strings attached free three months of service. He assured me that the account would automatically be cancelled at the end of the complimentary three months.
Sirius took the liberty of renewing my subscription and charging me the $12.95 monthly fee in June at the end of the three months. This was obvously an underhanded sales tactic. Their rationale was that I was responsible for the charge since I used the service for that extra monthh. My response was that I cancelled the service three months ago. Sirius then refused to reimburse me for the $12.95 even though my cancellation was in effect. Furthermore, the individual I spoke with in June would not connect me with a manager and indicated that she didn't know when I might call back to reach a manager.
I am absolutely disgusted that this company can legally practice this sort of low life ripoff tactic. If there was ever a situatiion that deserved to reach Ripoff report, it's this one.
