We purchased a lawn edger and used it once, then stored it in the garage. Three weeks later we took it out to use it again and the oil had leaked out onto the garage floor. I called Sears to tell them it was faulty and they said to bring it in. When I got there the manager told me I had to let their repairman try to fix it. I said I just wanted a new one, not a repaired one, that we did not break it. It had come that way. They said then they would charge a 15% restocking fee. I asked for a refund instead, and again, they said I owed a 15% restocking fee. Finally, I've left it with the repairman and if he can fix it, I get it back no charge. If he deems it unfixable, I get a new one. If it is fixable and I ask for a refund, I have to pay the 15% restocking fee. This is outrageous! Read the warrenty on the booklet that comes with your tools. They even have it in writing.
They have no right to write 'satisfaction guaranteed' on their receipt! That is a lie. I am DEFINITELY NOT satisfied!
I've shopped at Sears since the 1950's and I am through! Shame on them.
