I am looking for people who have had Cingular Wireless for cell service. My husband and I had Cingular service and then when the contract expired ported our number to Verizon. Upon porting this number we received the final bill which was astronomical. We had overages in minutes in excess of about 400 minutes. We have been fighting this for 3 months. It is impossible for either of us (we both work during the day) to make the calls to the extent of the bill.
Pretty much all through the month of June they have us making call every 5 minutes for an entire 8 hour day. There are some days we didn't even use the phone. There is one day in particular June 5, that my wife was taking her Praxis 1 test that they have minutes being used on the phone. During this test cell phones are not allowed in the building and you are being watched by video and they have audio taping equipment in there. Cingular claims their reps. Have went through the bill and it is correct. I have told them I can get our employers and even the testing place to show that we were not using the phone. They will not budge. I want to hear other stories. I have heard from some that went Cingular went AT&T that they noticed an increase in their bills. We are being hosed by Cingular.
