I ordered a color from one of the color charts thats hanging with all the paint. I used this paint and painted 6 rooms. Which meant I went into walmart several times to get this paint mixed.
The last time I went in to get a gallon mixed I did not have one of the empty cans with me so I asked them to mix me a gallon of saddleberry which was on the chart. It was a simple neutral color. Not hard to mix at all. Well guess what they mixed it right for the first time. But it was the wrong color. The color they had mixed all a long was some other color.
Of course this all meant that I was going back and forth to the store and also dealing with the " CO-Mangers " which don't know there ass from there elbow. The bottom line is I now had 5 1/2 rooms done and it was not the color I had ordered from the start. I had done this job over a lenght of time and I had done it right. I masked off all of the trim with blue painters tape (which cost extra). I had painted all the trim white first (which took a long time and paint). And all these Co-mangers just talked to me like it was nothing.
If I was not in such poor health I would not have stood for it. But I am in poor health and that makes this all the worse. I found the co-mangers have no experince in there positions. They do not know how to even handle customers or fix the problems they themselfs have created.
I highly recomend that you go to a paint store for your paint needs. I painted for 10 years in Florida and never once had a problem like this. But I never used Walmart either. I was a professional and I used a proffessional paint store.
Walmarts answer to me was we will give you a couple of gallons of paint and that should take care of you. I never went back in. I complained to the head office but all that got me was a phone call from one of the co-mangers.in defence of the paint (color place) I want to say it is good paint for the money. If you can find someone who can give you the color you order and pay for then you might want to consider using it.
But I would stay away from the walmart people.By the way I was told that several people were fired for messing up with the paint. That was probibily a lie too. I want to add one last thing. Some years ago I had walmart change my oil in my truck. I never have anyone change my oil because I like to make sure it is right.
Well needless to say that after about 1 week of having the oil changed I started hearing the lifters in the motor making noise. They had never done this before so I checked the oil level and guess what? There was not one single drop of oil in the motor. I put oil in it right away and saved the motor. But from then until I sold the truck the motor used a lot of oil in between oil changes.
Bottom line if your going to use walmart you had better check everthing they do when they do it or else. You know the saying Buyer beware.
