The Language Trainers
Hit my pocket by refusing to pay me for a month and a half worth of language lessons. Ripoff

This company has many names and is rather elusive. They contacted me to start in a hurry a course with a San Diego Company, Achieve Internet. They then sent me a contract, rather extreme, where the terms were laid out.

I accepted, since some of its wording seemed inoffensive, yet to my surprise they expected me to purchase 500 dollars worth of books they would reimburse later. My intuition told me not to so I made them purchase the books. They then wanted me, the instructor, to buy my own book.

When I suggested to them they should get a desk copy from the publishers, they threatened me again to take the class away from me. To their dismay I reported I was ready to release the class they continued working with me but called me at odd hours and expected me to be available 24 hours.

They harrassed me constantly with sarcastic remarks like "our instructors" can all afford to buy their students books, or "our instructors" use cellular phones so we can reach them.

Finally, they failed to pay for the classes. The first month they claimed my invoice was lost. The second they claimed, first, I had sent my invoice late, then they claimed the information was not right. I first emailed my invoice around the 26th to match their expectations and I was supposed to receive payment by Friday the 7th.

To this date the check, supposedly in the mail since the 4th or 5th of July, has not arrived.instead a chain of abusive and insulting emails from Alexis Sheldon, the alleged CEO of the company, threatened me again to blacklist me and to keep all outstanding moneys since I had discussed payment with the company serviced, Achieve Internet.

I did not discuss money with Achieve Internet. However, I discontinued lessons as of July 9th, two months after beginning service for them. I relayed to them the reason for my discontinuing the lessons in one email line.

By the time Mr. Sheldon contacted me with this new claim, his decision not to send my check had already happened, as I should have recieved a check on June 2nd and one on July 7th. And this dates are really the latest, since they claim, by their own contractual terms, they will issue payment the "first few" days of the month.

To this day the Language Trainers have not issued payment. Though they owe me for partial payment of a total package of 28 lessons, the Language Trainers charged the company contracting through them for the total number of lessons and for books and photocopying. This company doubles the cost to the customer, so they obtained a few thousand dollars, without moving a finger to obtain them.

I, in turn, invested gas, time and reserved hours. I am also now subject to their harassment and continual derogative, threatening messages. Between Monday and today, Friday the 13th of July, I have read it all, I must be ignorant, I am lying, I never taught those classes. I am now in the hands of a legal firm, however, I wish for all potential instructors to consider this ripoff before they are hired by these rogues.

To the potential learners, please be aware this could happen. The company I serviced has not contacted me so far to act in solidarity with my claim. They probably are only concerned with their future lessons and saving money on my work.

Unbelievable!
