On 3/21/07 I bought a ring on auction from DSN. It was shown as a museam grade 8.93ct Mandarin Garnet in an 18kt gold setting with 1.83ct of D-E diamonds. They claimed a retail price of over $29,000.00 and a DSN list price of $8000.00.
Since it was an auction I was able to buy the ring for $2,400.00. What I got 21 days later was nothing more than a piece of crap. DSN had switched both the Mandarin Garnet and the setting. Their classic bait and switch. What they sent wasn't worth $50.00.
If DSN does not honor their auctions, no matter what the item sells for, then DSN should not have aucions. Buyers beware, DSN is nothing more that a bait and switch ripp-off scam operator. The so called host are thieves and will appear intoxicated on the air. What a bunch of losers. You can learn something about gems from DSN, just don't buy from them.
