I didn't get ripped off my liquidation.com, but I was a victim of their bait and switch tactics. I monitored my bid for a vehicle for 4 days and finally won the auction. It was at very low price and what I considered an unbelievably good deal. Well it was it was just that, unbelievable. I was notified by email that I won the auction and ten minutes later received another email informing me the sale had been cancelled because a VIN Identification Number had to be corrected. I don't understand how that should have invalidated the sale. The VIN correction process could have proceeded pending the sale. Twenty four hours later the same vehicle was put back in auction with a starting bid a thousand dollars higher than my winning bid.
This is unfair and unethical particularly to buyers. It's bait and switch. Liquidation.com is increasinginly becoming known for its bad business practice. Buyer beware!
