The add reads: Every DVD 30% OFF! Friday and Saturday, November 26 & 27! Enjoy the Savings ALL DAY Friday and Saturday, 8 A.M. - 10 P.M.
However, once you pay for your items, you realize that there seems to be no savings. You check the prices and do the math, and see that in some items you only received 5% off and not savings at all in other items.
That happened to me today, Saturday, November 27.
I check my receipt and saw that I had a 5% savings in one item, others only 10% off, and some items no savings at all.
I asked for the manager, his name is Joe. He explained that the 30% savings is based on the retail price, NOT DVD Planet's regular price.
Therefore, if an item retails for $19.95, but DVD Planet's regular list price is $14.99, then you receive no savings.
Looking over the add, and the advertising at the store, there no fine prints or other written explanations of their policy.
A customer in good faith comes to shop at DVD Planets, expecting to receive 30% off every item, and realizes that the add is only a scheme to bring people in, and the are no true savings. A classic Bait & Switch.
