Since December I have been in a contract with Sprint using their "Fair and Flexible Plan for Families" and since then I have been getting bills for over $200 because of roaming charges.
I would call them and dispute the bill but sometimes they would hang up on me and they weren't able to explain or to show me exactly what was going on. I'm in a plan where my limit is 550 anytime minutes. Because they said that roaming calls were treated like "normal voice calls" I had my cell phone on roaming all the time, then when I got the bill, I got all the roaming charges.
The last time I called them I asked them why was I being charged roaming? And they always said that it happened because I went over my minutes. I was getting charged $0.10 per roaming minute. The weird thing is that I only went like 100 or 200 minutes over at the very most, so I was not even over my top tier. I asked them for the location in the bill, contract or website stating the $0.10 charges for going over my limit and they were not able to tell me.
I'm very upset with them and I'll just quit using roaming at all to see if they will still charge me for something else or what. I'll see if I can finish my contract or if not, I'll just pay the cancellation fee. I hope I'm not the only one going through this. Any comments or help would be appreciated. Thanks.
