We had a contract with Verizon Wireless for a $39.99 a month contract. They have fraudulently charged us for roaming charges, when the plan does not charge for roaming. We called 3 times to verifiy that we do NOT would not have roaming charges. Our 2nd bill from them was $902.78!!! The minutes were not counted accurately, roaming charges were astronomical, and taxes were almost $200.00. They have forced us change the plan to a $149.00 plan with a 2 year agreement, when we only agreed to the $39.99 year plan because of the overage that they have billed us for.
The second billing was for over $600.00 and we calculated that we actually went under the allowed minutes by 500 minutes. We have had to cancel the plan because of their fraudulant activity, and because of this, they've added on $175.00 for breaking the contract. We are middle aged people and have excellent credit, and don't want bad credit. We would like to find a way to not be ripped off from this company, and don't know where to start. We don't have the finances for a lawyer as we are disabled and on a very fixed income.
