Is a ripoff with Horrible Hold Times, Rude Reps & Non-Existent Company Officers

Those of you using NEXTEL for phone/radio service better hope you never have an occasion to call their "customer care" department. If you do, pack a lunch and a razor because you'll get hungry on hold and before they answer, it'll be time to shave again!

I'm in charge of handling the Nextel phones (12 of them) for our small company, and everytime I have a question about their consistent billing errors, I dread the thought of having to call them. My average hold time is generally around 25 to 30 minutes, only to have my call answered by a drone-sounding employee who says they have to get back with me.

One of these days another company will offer a product similar to Nextel's and they will finally lose my business.in the meantime, my advice to others is watch 'em closely on your bills and rate plans. They are very consistent about over charging and even more consistent at dodging your calls. They even have a team of people in their Reston, VA office dedicated to shielding the top company officers from hearing from their customers!

STAY AWAY FROM NEXTEL! Sprint is coming out with radio/phone service soon!
