Called First American Protection for service because dining room light & fan was not working. They sent out an electrician who had no clue what he was doing and he did not fix the problem and then filled out a report that stated "owner cut wire in attic", which was a LIE.
We called to complain and they said if we wanted another electrician to come out we'd have to pay another service call fee!!! However, if he could fix the problem we would not owe the servicee fee.
Well, we got another electrician, he fixed the problem (GFCI switch) and we were charged DOUBLE for both electricians. When we complained to First American they said they would refund our first service call fee. When we did not hear back from them and did not receive a refund, we called again and were told they had NO RECORD of either electrician responding to our calls and could not refund a fee that was never paid!
We have cancelled our policy and went with another home warranty company that we know and trust to be honest.
