Moved into our house and six months later had an electrical problem. Called First American Home Buyers, they sent out THREE different electricians, none of them knew what they were doing. First American told us to hire an electrician and they would re-imburse us if he could solve the problem. We did and the electrician solved our problem within 10 minutes. We notified First American, they REFUSED to reimburse us and then sent us a bill for the three electricians and increased our home warranty for the year!!! We had to threaten to sue, but finally got our money back (four months later) and cancelled the policy and went back to American Home Shield who are very reputable and honest and will actually help you when you need help. WE WILL NEVER GO WITH First American Home Buyers Protection again.
