I found Susan's website online for Bridal Express. She sounded like she knew what she was doing, she has been doing weddings for some time. My first impression of her was "white trash". I don't like to be judgemental but the woman actually showed up to our first meeting wearing flipflops, showing off her nasty, manly toes, and a stained shirt with sweatpants. I was going to call the whole thing off right there but she showed me some work (I still don't think it was her own) and I was impressed. I asked for references the first time we met and they were promised to me. Weeks later, after asking continuosly and after I had paid for most of my wedding, I finally did talk to one of her references; this person called me on the telephone! I thought it odd but my mind was so caught up with my upcoming wedding, I put my feelings aside.
I started to notice how flaky and unprofessional Susan and her staff were. She had her sister working with her (an overweight bleached blonde 40-something year old woman trying her best to look 20) and some guy that just looked stoned all the time. I tried to back out of the deal but Susan claimed that we had a contract and she couldn't refund my money. My wedding was less than two weeks away! I prayed for the best, unfortunately, I didn't listen to my gut instinct and I ended up paying for most of the package and my wedding was ruined. I did not get the flowers I ordered. The flowers that I got looked like they came from a supermarket. They were dry and not arranged well at all (I paid over $700.00 for these).
Susan did my hair early in the morning and fried it; I had my mother go out and buy me a wig at the last minute! I'm sure our pictures would have turned out awful if that cow would have showed up. Yep that's right! We paid for the photo package (almost $2000.00) and she never showed.in fact I've only talked with her once on the phone and she has the nerve to respond to this by saying, "I have no idea what you're talking about. We took the pictures and you didn't like the way they turned out, that's why you're saying all of these things." In fact, Susan didn't have any proof herself of ever taking our pictures - odd huh? Susan is a scam, don't trust that hideous poor excuse for a woman. I believe the money she stole from me was to support her drug habit. Don't be a victim of Bridal Express!
