I owe some money to Direct TV... I was out of work for awhile, and have since moved to a much smaller apt to save money. Direct tv turned me over to Nationwide Collections.
The guy who called me was so rude-I told him I would have to wait 2 wks until my next payday before I could send in the 174.00. This man started out by suggesting that I write a post-dated check. When I advised him that I do not have a checking account, he suggested that I call a family member and ask him/her to post-date a check for me.
I stood my ground, and continued to inform him that NO, I will NOT ask my friends or family for money, I told him I will pay in 2 weeks. He PREDICTED that when 2 wks rolls around I will probably just "blow the money on groceries or something" I was furious. Still, I was not rude... Then he asked for a phone # of a friend do he could do a 3 way call w/me and ask for money. He finally ended by stating that he would tell his "client" I REFUSED to ever pay the bill. NOT TRUE, NOT WHAT I TOLD HIM!!!
I will pay the bill like I said I would, then I'm getting cable.
