I had an account with Capitol One and when a medical condition required more money then I had, the Visa bill had to wait.
Well, once I had $ to pay the 298.00 bill, I called Capitol One to make payment arrangements. I'm told that the account belongs to Alliance One Collections. When I called Alliance One, I'm told that the bill is now 950.00 and asked "how would you like to pay that"?
My bill is only 298.00 and that's what I wanted pay. When I offered to send that amount in, I was told that that would be fine; however, the remaining balance would be subject to monthly finance fees.
I'm very worried that these parasites will find a way to garnish my paycheck or worse, contact family and friends.
They have stopped the three calls a day for some reason and was wondering if anybody has had this happen to them? I want to pay the initial amount but nobody seems to want that!
