They disconnected my phone after my total amount due was paid and then requested that I pay $40.00 to have my phone reconnected

I had telephone service with Comm South. I requested call-waiting service when I purchased phone service with Comm South.in early January my phone was disconnected for non-payment.

I made the payment of $50.00 before my phone was disconnected, but Comm South could not find where my payment was. So Comm South put in an investigation order to find out where my payment of $50.00 was (which took 3 weeks).

They found my payment January 28, after many phone calls and faxes regarding this matter At that time I was told by manager Ringo that I would be credited for the time my phone was disconnected, which was about three weeks.

I was also told by him that I would not be charge for a reconnection fee, so my phone was restored. However when my phone was restored, I didn't receive call-waiting service, as I had before my phone was disconnected.

I called several times about this and also spoke with supervisors regarding this matter I was told that an order would be put into investigate of why I didn't have call-waiting and for me to call Comm South back in three business days.

I did and all I got was unprofessional and rude representatives who were not helpful at all. Every time I called I got the same message to call back in three days. It was never resolved. I recently received a bill for $132.00 Jan/Feb bill.

In this bill I was not given a partial payment for January and I was also charged an reconnection fee of $20.00. When I called about this I was only told that the $20.00 reconnection fee that was on the bill was an error and that to go ahead and pay the $132.00 and I would be credited on the next month bill.

I paid $50.00 on March the 4th and I paid $84.00 on March 16th. My bill was due on the March 3rd. I didn't pay on the third because there were discrepancies in questioned in my bill that was not resolved by my constant calling.

So I paid what was on the bill only to have my phone disconnected again as of March 19th. I called several times and even spoke with a supervisor who said that an order was already placed to disconnect my phone service, so that's why it was disconnected.

They received my payment and then disconnected my phone. I was told by the Supervisor that I had to pay a $20.00 reconnection fee to have my phone service restored. I argued that I shouldn't but she stated that was nothing that she could do until I pay.

When I called back to make the $20.00 payment the credit card service representative told me that it would be $40.00 to reconnect. I explained to her what the supervisor said that it would be $20.00 to reconnect, then she said it is $40.00, and that the price had changed.

This is outrages and bogus. I am appalled by the way this company has handled my services thus far. I have never been more humiliated in my life and taken advantage of at the same time. Companies like Comm South should no longer be in Business if good customer service is not their number one priority.

Something has to be done about this kind of service. I am a senior citizen in Washington DC. This kind of service will not be tolerated. This company has very unprofessional and rude representatives.

They are a big rip off. I am being taken advantage of by Comm South. I pray that you can help in getting this matter resolved and quickly. Thank you for your help in this matter.
