Complaint / review text:
My son ordered flowers for his girlfriend to be delivered on Christmas eve. He paid extra to ensure delivery since we knew it would be a busy delivery day. The flowers hadn't arrived mid afternoon so we called and were told by the customer service rep that the flowers were "on the truck" and would be delivered. A few hours later we called again and amazingly were read the exact same script he heard earlier. When I pressed she told me she had no way to tell if the flowers were really on the truck (basically confirming she and the previous rep had been lying). By the third call I pressed again (after hearing the same script) and was finally told I could cancel the order because it wouldn't be there by that day.
I understand the holidays are a busy time but don't take my money, promise it will be there (multiple times), read me the script with no real facts and then have me cancel at 9 PM on the day it was supposed to be delivered.
I would never use Teleflora again, in fact my son picked them - I would have recommended one of the other services had he asked. Now I know and would recommend you save yourself the trouble and not take a chance. The fact they couldn't even tell me the status of my order is stunning in 2013. The fact that three reps told me the exact same lies when I called, without any data is also stunning to me.
Advice to Teleflora - find a way to connect to your network of florists so you actually have a clue what is happening to the orders of the people whose money that you took. We have GPS and computers now, maybe find a way to bring your business into the future.
